She is a former member of Dubai Design and fashion council, 2454 Abu Dhabi Creative Zone and currently teaches fashion at a reputable institution in Dubai.Her works, which seamlessly blend innovation and artistry, has graced celebrities, media personalities, and entertainment projects across Africa and the Middle-East.She has styled top artists, Music videos, TV shows, and media personalities across Africa. As a chief judge in pageants and fashion contests, she brings her expertise to the spotlight. Now based in the UAE, she has led international workshops, worked with global brands like Puma, Sephora and driven government-backed fashion/Art empowerment programmes.

"Fashion, design and Art have always been a huge part of my life. As a little girl, I watched my mum make beautiful fashion pieces for herself, me and my sisters. It was fun to watch her knit colourful sweaters for us.I was a very inquisitive child. I still am. I would ask questions about her choice of colours and designs and to everyone's amazement, I was cutting thick papers and old wires to make shoes and other art crafts at the age of Nine (laughs).
My grandma worked at a fashion house and made beautiful kiddie shorts for me.She would also bring lots of pieces of fabrics for me. With these, I made clothes for my dolls and little fancy purses for myself and friends.For me, Design is powerful because it is at the centre of all human endeavours. Everything is a Design. I love to design everything from clothes, houses, music, food, products, and people. I love fine things and beautiful prints and textures. That transformation that I bring on people, it is priceless".Joan creates opportunities for those with a passion for Fashion, Art and Design. She has taught hundreds of designers, some of whom are currently Fashion business owners.She says "I am passionate about using my creativity, skills and ideas to create positive impact in the world”.
